Wyoming Education Association Read Across America CTEA member Lisa Esquibel's kindergarten class at Davis Elementary in Cheyenne celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday with various class activities and a breakfast of green eggs and ham. The Cat has been driving all across Wyoming to promote reading, including a visit to this classroom in Powell. Governor Ma Mead signs a proclama on March 3, 2014, declaring the day "Read Across America Day" in Wyoming. The proclama on states, "The Wyoming Educa on Associa on has provided significant leadership to promote reading, grounded in the principle that educa onal investment is key to a community's well-being and long- term quality of life." The Laramie County Library also had a visit from WEA President Kathy Ve er on March 2 nd , as the library celebrated Dr. Seuss' 110 th birthday with reading, arts and cra s.
