bits & pieces What Post readers are experiencing Right Now PLACE: “Record Surplus on Pico in West Los Angeles, one of the last independent record stores standing. I’ve been shopping there for over a decade now.The joint is a landmark. You can find some of the most amazing music there at a ridiculously low price. Unlike Amoeba in Hollywood, Record Surplus is less of a scene, it is badly organized and reminds me of an abandoned warehouse. So if you want to find something good, you have to really get down on your knees and get dirty digging in dusty, aged piles of old CD discs, tape cas- settes, vinyl records and even 8-tracks. Record Surplus has all of that at its core. This is why I go there so often. It reminds me that with my editing, to never forget to be honest, raw and intellectual like the music so dear to my heart. I al- ways strive to have this energy come through in my work.”— Dmitri Gueer, Zoic Edit, Los Angeles California Entertainment Industry Plan* Group Benefits for the Entertainment Industry MatroxDSXproducts add DNxHD support M Multiple Coverages Single Invoice Enrollment COBRA Service ers now.
