6 PROP CULTURE I FALL 2026 KRISTINA PARSONS A Key Off Set is instrumental to the successful preparation for any project. They work closely with the Property Master, often from day one, to help coordinate logistics, oversee management of the department, and assist in design and curation of the show's props. On The Accountant 2, Kristina worked with Property Master J.P. Jones and describes a specific experience she had creating a key prop. "On The Accountant 2, I was charged with making a detailed planner for a private investigator who was killed. I had the story of what he was investigating before he died, so I filled it out, added lots of little Post- its and receipts and other attachments, put in some things related to the investigation and some non-related general planning things such as doctor appointments, dates with friends, etc. I showed it to the Property Master, J.P., during prep, and he said, 'It's a great start, we'll show it to Gavin (the director) and see what the notes are.' Well, Gavin never ended up seeing the prop until the day we shot it ... and I was so nervous. I kept asking has he seen it yet? Has anyone shown it to him? I can make changes. I just need to know what they are ... but he was just too busy to look. On the day we shot it, they set up for an insert of it, and Banner (our on-set props) called me on the radio. He said Gavin asked who made the planner, so he called me in to go see him. Can you imagine how anxiety inducing that was? So, I go onto set and Banner says, 'This is Kristina. She made the planner,' and Gavin reached out for a fist bump and went, 'You absolutely crushed it.' So ... good story, but omg, in the future, please don't wait until the last minute to approve a prop!" KEY OFF SET ASSISTANT PROPERTY MASTER MEET THE ACCOUNTANT 2 KRISTINA PARSONS
