6 PROP CULTURE I SUMMER 2026 BRANDON MINTON Brandon Minton is a Prop Shop Fabricator whose work focuses on turning ideas into practical, functional objects for film and television. Working closely with Property Masters and designers, he helps develop concepts from the design stage through fabrication, translating sketches and ideas into buildable props that can perform reliably on set. This often includes creating 3D models, solving mechanical challenges, and refining designs before materials are ordered and fabrication begins. Brandon's experience includes woodworking, 3D modeling and printing, mold-making, metalworking, machine mechanics, sewing, LED wiring, RC motors, and computer programming. Whether working in a fabrication shop or directly on production, he is part of the process of building, repairing, and adapting props quickly and efficiently to meet the needs of a show. One of Brandon's particularly memorable experiences was working on Yo Gabba Gabba! as a Prop Maker and artist in a small manufacturing shop built right on the stages. There, he made oversized props, fake food, miniatures, toys, puppets, costume elements, and interactive set pieces while filming happened around him. Writers, producers, and showrunners would often stop by with ideas, questions, or last-minute inspiration, creating a collaborative atmosphere that helped shape the visual style of the show. For Brandon, one of the most satisfying parts of the job was the immediacy of production: "Handing off pieces right before a take was one of my favorite parts."
