The Entertainment Industry Professionals Mentoring Alliance (EIPMA) is about making a difference by providing a conduit for basic information, career paths, guidance in obtaining goals, and ultimately, direct mentorship. EIPMA introduces lesser known roles to spark interest and offers deeper insight into existing ones to inspire informed career choices. EIPMA seeks to provide a broad overview and exploration of careers, assist in the education of specific career paths, initiate mentorships to assist the transition into a career, and to provide guidance in emerging careers. EIPMA also showcases a wide range of career paths and expands awareness of what's possible. Networking is supported by creating, sharing, and collaborating on events that connect individuals with industry professionals and peers to build meaningful relationships. Here is the latest from Entertainment Industry Professionals Mentoring Alliance: On May 1, 2025, EIPMA & Universal Post coordinated with Tomorrow's Talent and hosted a tour of the post facilities at NBCUniversal Studios Post. Matias Caldarella MPSE Dialogue Architecture: The Joe Schiff Interview Matias Caldarella is an Argentine sound designer, dialogue editor, and re- recording mixer for features & TV with nearly two decades of experience. He has also contributed to countless trailers and branding projects, continuously pushing his sound post-production career and skills forward with new tools and challenges. Steve Lee, THSM Founder Douglas Shearer Steve Lee has had a career in film sound spanning over 30 years, contributing sounds and voices to films including The Lion King, Apollo 13 and A Goofy Movie. He has been featured in several documentaries on sound history, including RoboDoc: The Creation of RoboCop and The Wilhelm Scream. He is the founder of The Hollywood Sound Museum. His first novel, a work of nonsense fiction titled A Frivolous Conundrum, is now available through Lulu.com. He is currently at work on an unauthorized autobiography. Paulette Victor Lifton MPSE Sculpting the Sound of the Grid: Tormod Ringnes Paulette Victor Lifton MPSE is a multi-Emmy and MPSE award-winning supervising sound editor, casting director, and voice director. She is the 2026 SOVAS Award winner for Best Casting Director for an Animated Feature and has worked across film, television, and animation for studios, including DreamWorks, Nickelodeon, and Netflix. Charles Maynes MPSE Tech Corner Charles Maynes is a working sound designer and sound editor and is a member of the MPSE Board of Directors. His recent work includes the Paramount+/CBS dramatic series SEAL Team. Timothy Muirhead MPSE Tonebenders Sound Design Meet Up Based in Toronto, Timothy Muirhead is a Board member with MPSE and a supervising sound editor focusing on animated series. With sound work on over 750 episodes of animation on his CV, Tim has been the driving force behind the sound of the international mega-hit children's franchise, PAW Patrol, in addition to many other animated shows. In 2012, Timothy launched the Tonebenders Sound Design Podcast and has been its producer and host for over 285 episodes now. Tonebenders covers the sonic artists behind our favorite films, games and series, by featuring over 460 sound people as guests over the years. Solange S. Schwalbe MPSE Manginius Solange S. Schwalbe MPSE is a 38-year veteran as a motion picture sound editor and Foley supervisor. She is both an Emmy and Golden Reel Award winner. She is currently teaching filmmaking, including sound for film at Lake Tahoe Community College. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of the MPSE since 1991. Bernard Weiser MPSE EIPMA EIPMA President Bernard Weiser had been nominated for four Emmys as a dialogue editor for HBO's Deadwood: The Movie and for True Detective's The Great War and Modern Memory, and two times as co-supervising sound editor for Season's 1 + 2 of Ted Lasso.
