22 B O B B I B A N K S F E L L O W S H I P A N D S E R V I C E A W A R D KIM OGLETREE F I L M P R O D U C E R Bobbi Banks is a true force of nature, an artist, a leader, and an inspiration whose work and spirit leave a lasting imprint on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She has spent her career not only breaking barriers but also building bridges for others to follow. Bobbi's artistry in sound is undeniable, but what makes her extraordinary is the way she uplifts those around her with generosity, grace, and authenticity. Her presence commands respect, but her heart draws you in. Bobbi has an incredible gift for making others feel seen, heard, and valued, reminding us all that excellence is not only about skill, but also about integrity and kindness. She is a trailblazer who has opened doors for so many, and she continues to pave the way for future generations of storytellers. To honor Bobbi is to celebrate strength, creativity, and dedication. JOHN ROESCH F O L E Y A R T I S T Congratulations, Bobby, on this prestigious award that is not given out very often. That tells us how special and talented you are to the film community, and certainly the Union. We have only worked on a few projects together. However, I always heard that when you were onboard a film, whatever aspect you were handling, it was going to be done right. Speaking of doing things right, you embody what I hope we all will strive to attain in that you're not afraid to help others achieve their goals in the film business. In other words, there's no curtain of knowledge being pulled down to keep others from seeing how to do things. In fact, for you, it's the opposite. You are happy to help people gain the wisdom and knowledge needed to be successful in their own careers. That is a trait we should all strive for. Lastly, at the age I'm at now, I just share with you the six words I know to be true: Be well, be happy, and love fiercely. PETER RILEY S O U N D E D I T O R I had the pleasure of working with Bobbi when she was just starting out in the business. She worked with me in a film post production house in New York City called Sound One. Together with a fine crew we worked on hundreds of features, documentaries, student films etc. Bobbi always brought an eagerness to learn and a strict professionalism all the while keeping a keen sense of humor. I am so proud of her many accomplishments and hope I had some measure of credit in her success. Well done Ms.Banks GREG HEDGEPATH M P S E Bobbi Banks is more than someone I work with. She is a true friend and, besides my wife and daughter, is one of the people I'm closest to in this world. I have no doubt that she's always looking out for my best interests. Sometimes when she calls she will instantly pick up if something is wrong just by the way I say "Hello". Trust and honesty in this business are hard to come by but when I think of the people in post production who I trust the most she is the one. We have supervised over 48 shows and counting since 1992 and have developed a shorthand when communicating which makes the process so much smoother. Bobbi is a great supervisor in her own right and has garnered the respect of many producers and directors. When we supervise together she supervises dialog and ADR and I supervise FX and design although our responsibilities overlap quite often due to the nature of our working relationship. She has a commitment to excellence like no other. She fills the gaps I have when it comes to staying in touch with clients and is the reason I have worked on many of the shows that we've done together. She is a bright light who shares joy wherever she goes. I am honored to have known and worked with her all these many years. Banks Notes
