Right, Timothée Chalamet (A Complete Unknown) on the awards carpet. National Executive Director & Chief Negotiator Duncan Crabtree-Ireland calls it a natural and powerful next step. "This evolution strengthens the clarity of who we are and what we celebrate — the artistry, excellence and unity of performers. The statuette has always been called The Actor, so it's only fitting that our show, created by and for actors, now shares that name. It reflects our union's deep connection to the craft we honor and our commitment to showcasing that talent to a global audience on Netflix." While the new name reflects a new evolved identity, the legacy title of Screen Actors Guild Awards will continue to appear on FYC materials throughout the Nominating Committee voting period. Join us on the big night — Sunday, March 1, 2026 — when the Actor Awards streams globally on Netflix through a multi-year partnership with the platform. Mark your calendars and get voting details with our helpful FAQs that follow. WHO CHOOSES THIS YEAR'S NOMINEES?
