C I N E M A A U D I O S O C I E T Y. O R G 43 Among his many accolades as a musician, guitar maker, and entertainer, Les Paul is often credited in our world of professional sound as the innovator of "sound on sound" recording (i.e., overdub), using tape delay and a number of other in-the-studio creations. His studio creations are now on display at the Les Paul Recording Studio in Los Angeles. I recently visited and was shown around by Tom Camuso of the Les Paul Foundation. The Les Paul Recording Studio is in the former Studio D of United Western. Interestingly, when I worked here many years ago, it was Studio D at Ocean Way Recording. Following are excerpts from my visit to this historical treasure with Tom.
