do is personal clothes. Other than that, if it's costuming, we've done it." In fact, currently, everyone in the workroom is involved in a huge project for a theme park in Florida. They have made some special dresses for the Hello Kiy walk- around character for the theme parks here as well. They have also been doing a lot of custom work for a stylist who works with big name musicians like John Legend, Lionel Richie, Dr. Dre, Lady Gaga, and Doja Cat. Kimberly and Antoinee also host student groups at Muto-Lile. They love to share their passion and give the students a chance to discover all about their world. Her advice to prospective Costumers is, "Don't just learn how to sew or how to paern or how to use the Cricut. Learn how to do embroidery, learn to make as many things as you can." She encourages the students to get out and do regional theatre, to spend a year away. "You're going to meet all these amazing people. You get to live in these cool lile towns. Go and have some adventure now, because you are going to get locked down at some point. This is your moment to go. And you'll learn so much, so go do that. Do it for a summer. Do it for a year. Do it for a couple years. Get yourself together, then come back to the big town, the big leagues." Since 1982, Muto-Lile has been working on everything from couture to alterations, to commercials, to television and movies, to musicians, to theatre, and to theme park events. They have worked on sci-fi pieces like Babylon 5 and Westworld, period pieces like 1883 and A Star Is Born, fan favorites like Yellowjackets and Pushing Daisies, live theatre like Sister Act the Musical and Grease Live!. The list goes on. The talent that Antoinee and Kimberly have amassed in the workroom at Muto-Lile is evident in the beautiful and creative costumes they construct. When Antoinee was a lile girl, she told her mother, "I want a job where every day is different from the day before." Reflecting back, she adds, "It's a challenge. But I like it. That's what gets me up in the morning. That's what gets me coming to work every day. I still, aer all these years, love coming to work. I love the people that I work with. I love my crew and I love the work. I do. I'm so happy aer all of these years. That's why I'm not retired yet. I'm still enjoying it. Kim is still enjoying it." Muto-Lile is an IATSE union workroom.
