A FINAL ROUND OF APPLAUSE…
As an organization built on the hard work and dedication of volunteers,
the Guild takes great pride in pulling out all the stops for an awards gala
that brings together location professionals, our creative partners and the
generous sponsors who all help make this event so special.
"The LMGI Awards are a night of joy, inspiration and celebration—honoring
our honorees, our craft and the incredible community that makes it all
possible," says
LMGI PRESIDENT JOHN RAKICH.
"And thank you to this year's dedicated and passionate volunteers,
whose hands and hearts shaped every moment of this fantastic night,"
adds
AWARDS COMMITTEE CO-CHAIR NANCY HAECKER. "By volunteering, they
strengthen our community and show, by example, the integrity of our
members.
"My favorite part is watching hundreds of our members together having a
great time, nominees glowing from the recognition of their work by their
peers, and the winners not only validated, but ignited for the work still to
come. We all had so much fun that we had to be kicked out by the venue!"
"It's very clear," concludes
COM/OPS DIRECTOR ERIKA HOWARD, "that our
members and location professionals worldwide—always the first in and
the last out—are the ones driving productions to where they need to go."
A happy ending to the story of the Guild's 12th Annual Awards, where we
lived it up in style, raising our glasses to celebrate our creative role in
finding the incredible places where story lives!
