"Our trip to Bilbao was brilliantly
coordinated, so well-organized
and well-paced—a real treat! We
were shown incredibly photogenic,
interesting, varied and very shootable
locations, which le me feeling that
the Basque region is one that I would
revisit and keep in mind for future
projects.
"I went with a clear objective to
research distant locations for a
second season of an HBO project and
it couldn't have been more useful! As a
direct result, I presented 50 locations
throughout seven regions of Spain
to our production designer, which we
then whiled down to 20 locations
which we scouted over nine days,
seven hotel stopovers and 2,500
kilometers! We have now locked in our
locations and will be shooting there
later this year."
