34 FALL 2025 What do you feel is your most important aribute in your cra, or your strongest skill? LC: On some shows, it's being able to age things and take care of period pieces … but overall, the main characteristic that carries through each production is staying calm, listening, and being able to read a room. It's important to know when to step in and get out of the way, camera movements, and what the next movements are. Also knowing the script backward and forward is absolutely essential! You always want to have answers for your actors when discussing how things play out in the script, costume-wise. As a Set Costumer, what did you have to change about your methods of set costuming to accommodate working with the actors in this production? LC: Costuming is personal. You're in the actor's sacred space, and with that comes a unique trust. It's important to be yourself, but to be cognizant of how they work and what they're comfortable with. Everyone is different, so matching their flow is essential. Jamie [Lee Curtis] has a lot of energy, so it was important to keep up with her and plan for whatever she might need. I also tailored my kit to her specific needs TL: As we all know, every project and every actor is different. Actors have a specific way they like things done and you grow that trust/relationship/rapport with each one. I was pregnant while we were shooting, so I had to learn how to move/carry/li/etc., in a different way. the only one who is feeling stressed and overworked and underpaid. Just be kind, be patient, and be ready. I decided to pivot and pursue it further by landing a life-changing opportunity as a PA in costumes on The Walking Dead series." Libby was sworn into Local 705 in December 2019 aer transferring from Atlanta to Los Angeles having worked as an active member of IATSE Local 479 for eight years. "I had already developed good relationships with designers who were originally based in LA." iffany Lazee has been a Local 705 Costumer for 12 years aer geing her union days through working in the commercial world. "I would watch films/ TV shows/etc. and be so fascinated by the details in each costume. I was always in awe of all the hard work that went into each piece. That's what made me want to be a part of the costume world." L T Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan. PHOTOS BY GLEN WILSON/GLEN WILSON - © 2025 DISNEY ENTERPRISES, INC.
