Michael lives with his wife Bethany and son Leo in Los Angeles, working as a Production Designer for both film and commercials. Recent projects include: Studio 666 with the Foo Fighters (BJ McDonnell, director); as well as the horror short/commercial Feeding Time for Jack in the Box (Marcus Dunstan, director). Michael also recently designed lightsabers for the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. Michael is both author and Illustrator of The Suicidals, his first-ever foray into the world of comics. While the story has been with Michael for over twenty years, the motive behind it is difficult to convey in any simple manner. Part of the reason lies in friends Michael has lost to mental illness. While these experiences may have informed the story, they are not the sole reason behind it. The simplest reason Michael is writing this story now is: because he has to. Having lived with these characters over the past twenty years, he fears if he doesn't share them now, he will take them with him to the grave. Whatever fate awaits them in this story, good or ill, he refuses to condemn them to a fate of obscurity. LIFE COULD BEGIN AT ANY MOMENT...THE SUICIDALS IS A LIMITED COMIC SERIES DETAILING A MOMENT IN THE LIVES OF TWO TOTAL STRANGERS, JOHN AND EMILY, NEITHER OF WHOM ARE CONVINCED THEY REALLY WANT TO BE A PART OF THIS WORLD. A CHANCE MEETING DELAYS THEIR PREMATURE EXIT, AND PRESENTS AN ALTERNATE PATH IN LIFE AS OF YET UNEXPLORED. A PATH WITH UNEXPECTED CONSEQUENCES.
