The action ended up occupying four different streets where the crew had to cover all the windows of each building with graphics. The graphic production by CJ and Collins Visual Media, with all the 3D lettering and cut vinyl, came out perfect. Graphic Designer Karin Sori provided an exact comp of the designs on the shopfront windows. Interiors were dressed in all along the backlot. The production even did a traffic circle and a huge sidewalk extension to get the shots to match the original film and give VFX their correct backgrounds. Shaun Viola, the Art Department coordinator for the shoot, did an amazing job to keep all these variables on track and the project on budget. The snow was practical, created from huge ice blocks by Dave Peterson and his team from Full Scale FX. For the final disco sequence, I spent five hours taping off the areas in the dance floor that needed to produce the flashing red-and-green illuminated patterns. After each take with Mr. Travolta on the dance floor, he was met with a standing ovation from everyone on the cast and crew. ADG A-C. STOREFRONT SIGNS. GRAPHIC LAYOUTS. D. STORYBOARDS ON SET. E.
