Apuya. Tanya worked on the cowl that goes over the hat because it's a two-piece hat and this cowl goes over it. We did all these crisscross bias-cut silk pieces of different silk fabrics. The main witch that fights Ahsoka, she has all this beautiful crisscross overlapping and that was one way that we kind of made them cohesive. We did unconventional things with silk—everything was silk and leather. The cuffs we did were with silk crisscrossing. Tara Reich, she did that crazy pointy hat and she did all these creepy neck boggles, these witch bumps on all the witches. You don't really see them in the series but in person, you could see these weird neck wart things. E [Elissa] picked out all the metal doodads, and some were made by specialty people, too. It was really cool collaborative work. I also did the other witch, Aktropaw. I hand-draped her bodice and then Georgi finished and sewed it. Specialty, they built the hat bases out of felt and gave me some really cool shapes and then we draped on top of it with different types of silks and layered it. All the silks were hand- dyed by Carol Demarti and in all different shades of red. One morning, I came into work, there's an upstairs to our building and you can just see this sea of red fabric, just red on every table. It was really cool to see. I've never seen that much red. Captain Enoch MARCUS: Enoch was a big project from the specialty side of it. Erik Troy modified all the armor that was just a TK suit, a stormtrooper suit. Shawna had specific proportions that she wanted for the actor, for it to fit the actor and look a certain way she wanted him. She kept telling me, "I want him to have like a superhero feel," like broad chest, small waist, and a smaller head so I had to shrink the helmet down and Erik Troy had to widen the chest so we're pushing and pulling on these proportions to create the silhouette that Shawna wanted. She gave me that concept art from Brian Matyas early in the season and it sat on my desk for, I would say, three months before I got to work on it. I had to resize the helmet, chop it up, it's all handmade. We're not scanning and printing bigger or smaller sizes. Then I had to scratch build the mandibles that come out because that's totally unique. There's nothing a stormtrooper has like that. After "It was a well-oiled machine. Everybody came in. Everybody had their assignments." Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) in Lucasfilm's Star Wars: Ahsoka, exclusively on Disney+.
