With the conclusion of the awards ceremony, the gala switched into high gear as we streamed out of the auditorium and onto the sparkling patio for food, drink and dance. The buzz was palpable, the music was loud, and the meeting and greeting continued long into the warm California night. "Our producer and media team pulled off a fun, high-energy event," says Erika Howard, LMGI administrative manager. "We had a Dos Boots Mezcal Tequila tasting and a DJ spinning '80s and '90s hits. The 360-camera was a huge hit, capturing so much joy. And who could forget the purple margaritas? They were delicious! "Each year, we strive to make the event better and better. Seeing this year's strong voter turnout during the nomination process and then meeting many of our nominees who traveled from near and far is incredibly rewarding. It's great to see everyone looking fantastic in such a stunning Beverly Hills venue!" "I flew in from New York and enjoyed the show!" remarked LM Paul Kramer from the winning Period TV series Fallout. "The event had such a great energy. There was very impressive production value, the host and presenters were actually funny, and the speeches were heartfelt and inspiring. All in all, a very special evening!" "It was really nice to see how the Guild has sustained such a vibrant presence," added LM Kris Bunting, for Griselda. "It was an honor to be nominated and be able to participate in such a professional and classy event—this is something that we can all be proud of." "It was a humbling experience just to be in the presence of so many 'Legends of the Location World,'" shared Calgary's Luke Antosz/LMGI, a winner for Fargo–S5. "The opportunity for collaboration and discussion with such a widespread network of location professionals exemplifies the importance of the kind of family the LMGI fosters and grows." SLM Ian Pollington, a nominee for Slow Horses–S3, says that making the trip from London was absolutely worth it. "It was a really well put together event—it was great to be able to attend. It was a little more lavish than I'd been anticipating … and a lot of fun!" LM Giuseppe Nardi/LMGI traveled from Italy with his Amalfi Coast Assistant LM Alberto Gavini to pick up the award for Ripley. "A special thanks goes to all of you who organized this event because everything was impeccable!" he said. "Please allow me to mention our other LMs from all over Italy. Ivano Rapa in Naples, Laura Cappato in Venice, Chiara Scardamaglia in Palermo, and Micela Giovinetti in Capri share this award with us!" Added SLM Robin Melville/LMGI in Rome, "Thanks LMGI for not only acknowledging, but awarding us for this once in a lifetime opportunity!"
