The DGA and the Assistant Director Training Plan present:
Navigating Drone Filming in NYC
With drone filming now a reality in New York City, the Assistant Director
Training Plan and the DGA are pleased to offer this opportunity to familiarize
members with this new production option.
In this event, held in partnership with Flying Monster, LLC, experienced professionals
will provide guidance on what's needed for a successful drone shoot in the city, such
as understanding the regulations, securing permits, choosing the right equipment and
assembling the right crew. Additionally, members will hear about real-world experiences
— from capturing the tight spaces of Wall Street, to the heights of Midtown's skyscrapers,
and filming the city's iconic bridges — that may help to prepare them for their own drone
shoots in NYC.
Because this is an in-person event with active participation from class members, please
be advised that class size is very limited and RSVPs are required.

In honor of Latin Heritage Month, please join us for the fourth annual DGA
Latino Summit, an event dedicated to providing the opportunity for the
attendees to unite with their community, focus on career development,
celebrate Latino excellence in the arts and remind everyone that we have
the power to change the world one storyteller at a time.

• 4:00 p.m. — Spotlight: In the Directors' Chairs
