Instantly recognizable and dynamic spaces encompass the mythical, the soulful and the bizarre as a seemingly typical Midwestern housewife is plunged back into a life she thought she had left behind. The Tillman Ranch exudes utility and the ultra-conservative values of an abusive spouse, while an Easter Seals Camp plays for Camp Utopia, a surreal safe haven nestled in a protective curtain of pine trees where she can face her trauma and learn how to fight back. OUTSTANDING LOCATIONS IN A CONTEMPORARY TELEVISION SERIES Mr. & Mrs. Smith MR. & MRS. SMITH From the bustling streets of New York to picturesque Italian towns, secret agents posing as a married couple navigate their double lives and a complex relationship. Rarely filmed city streets, an old mall under the Manhattan Bridge, and a Brooklyn rooftop that looks down at an open-air but below-street-level subway line propel their dangerous and unpredictable missions. In Italy, a foot chase in an old town on Lake Como is inspired by its natural maze of alleys, steps and courtyards. An action sequence on a rooftop bar at the top of a mountain showcases the snow-capped Italian Dolomites. Gorgeous landscapes contrast with the violence and mirror the dual nature of their lives. RESERVATION DOGS Season 3 A group of teens come-of-age in the fictional town of Okern, inspired by Native communities and reservations in Oklahoma, where the series is filmed. Returning home from last season's California pilgrimage, a character is stranded at the never-before-filmed Great Salt Plains State Park and National Wildlife Refuge, where he meets a strange character who will be revealed as a crucial link in the backstory of the reservation elders and inspire a daring rescue from a hospital. The grounds of Baccone College, founded in the 1880s, tells the story of a Native boarding school, where a mythic character seeks revenge for the brutality she experienced as a young girl. Themes of growing up, expectation, belonging and the embracing of traditional values are told with surreal humor, heart and heartache—in the authentic voice of the Native people who are telling the story.
