THE BIG
RALLY
On a chilly Sunday morning in March,
hundreds of workers from Local 700
and other guilds and unions gathered
for a mega-rally in Encino. The crowd
heard stirring speeches from Matt
Loeb of IATSE, Sean O'Brien of the
Teamsters and other national and
local labor leaders. It was the perfect
start to IATSE's Basic Agreement
talks with producers, which began
the next day. ■
