PEOPLE www.postmagazine.com 39 POST NOV/DEC 2023 ADREA LAVEZZOLI, NATHAN DUBIN Bi-coastal audio post house Racket Club has added to its West Coast team with the recent hiring of ex- ecutive producer Adrea Lavezzoli and sound design- er/mixer Nathan Dubin. Racket Club specializes in creating sound for picture and is the sister company of post house Uppercut, which has locations in New York, Atlanta and Los Angeles. Dubin started sculpting soundwaves as a teenager, writing and recording music. His career as a sound designer and mixer began shortly after that, and he's since gone on to win a Clio Award for his work scoring commercials. His versatile sonic style can be heard on spots for Kia, Pepsi, Universal Studios, Toyota and Jack In The Box. Lavezzoli has a diverse and storied career producing music and sound. In addition to her commercial work, she's also collaborated with Will Ferrell on Anchorman 2, and worked with profes- sional football players on EA Madden NFL games. Previously at Beacon Street Studios, Lavezzoli later worked at Netflix during the pandemic before joining Racket Club. Her work has been nominated for many AICP and Clio awards, as well as an Emmy for the opening credits of the comedy series Spoils of Babylon. TIA PERKINS New York City's Harbor has added Tia Perkins to its staˆ as head of production, advertising. Prior to joining Harbor, Perkins held tenures at The Mill and Carbon. In her two years as head of production at Carbon, she oversaw successful campaigns for—Xfinity, Verizon, Sweet Tarts and Clermont Whiskey. She also—liaised with ECDs and heads of department on resource management, internal workflow, client pitches and job oversights. Her 12 years at The Mill included serving as senior content producer for Mill+, a role that helped establish the studio's in-house directorial oˆering. STEVEN MILLER Flame artist Steven Miller is the newest hire at creative studio The-Artery in New York City. With a career that spans nearly two decades, Miller's credits include work on films such as Avatar, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Pirates of the Caribbean. Miller's career includes time at The Mill, Electric Theatre Collective and MPC, among others, where he's amassed over 50 feature film credits, as well as countless television and commercial projects. He began his career at Hydraulx, where he worked on films such as Skyline and Battle: Los Angeles, while also studying at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Hollywood. In 2017, he partnered with Droga5 on the 2020 Super Bowl commercial Jeep Groundhog Day, which led to multiple Cannes Lions and an Emmy nomination. He moved from Santa Monica to New York City in 2018, going on to collaborate on The Walking Dead and Preacher. LUKE BELLISSIMO Boutique VFX studio Artjail in Toronto has expanded its motion design department with the recent hiring of Luke Bellissimo, who will serve as creative direc- tor of motion design/VFX artist. Bellissimo brings a well-rounded view of the entire post and design pro- cess, having built 3D worlds and simulations, animation and advanced VFX. He's also familiar with the pitching process, and has guided projects from the very start. In addition, he brings a deep understanding of composition, color, lighting and images as a whole. DAVID LEBENSFELD Streamland Media in Los Angeles has unified the leadership for—Ghost VFX and Ingenuity Studios. David Lebensfeld, founder of Ingenuity Studios, will serve as president of both companies, which comprise Streamland Media's visual eˆects division. Collectively, the two VFX houses—have been creating high-end work for more than 40 years. Lebensfeld brings 20 years of artistic, technical and business experience in visual eˆects to his new role, and is a member of the Visual Eˆects Society and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. PHIL CHOE Assembly in Boston has added senior colorist Phil Choe to its roster of creative talent. Choe's career spans 17 years and includes collaborations with brands such as Adidas, Coca-Cola, Chopard, Ivy Park, Jaguar, Nike, Pantene, Progressive and Puma. He also contributed to the feature documentary Emanuel, directed by Brian Ivie, and executive produced by Stephen Curry and Viola Davis. BARRETT LEWIS, PATTON TUNSTALL Republic in Dallas, recently added two industry vet- erans to its roster of creative directors. Barrett Lewis and Patton Tunstall (pictured top and bottom) are already leading projects inside the studio's pipeline. Lewis joins Republic after most recently working across town at ReelFX and its sister companies Atk Pln and Flight School. He began his career at ReelFX in 2001 as a character animator, and later transitioned to the finishing side, becoming a VFX supervisor. He's worked on commercials and feature films, including Spy Kids 2, Disney's The Wild and The Book of Life. He became a creative director in 2011, using his lead- ership skills to impact multiple divisions of ReelFX and its sister companies. Tunstall grew up in New Orleans and is also a fellow ReelFX alumnus. An early passion for CG landed him a position at TurboSquid. He later attended Full Sail University, and then returned to New Orleans, working at Bayou FX as 3D/compositing artist. In 2012, he moved to Dallas to join his wife at ReelFX.
