sagaftra.org | Spring 2023 | SAG-AFTRA 83 Local Volunteers Help Those With Food Insecurity About 25 SAG-AFTRA Chicago members and staff, along with family and friends, participated in a day of service at the Greater Chicago Food Depository on Feb. 10. They were on a team that was responsible for packing 17,800 lbs. of potatoes — 14,833 meals — which means that each volunteer packed 239 meals. Chicago Members Connect With State Leaders at the Capitol M embers and staff were front and center at the 2023 New Mexico Film and Media Day on Feb. 15 at the state Capitol. The day provided a great opportunity for members to thank legislators for supporting the film industry in New Mexico. MEL MACKARON New Mexico Local Welcomes New President T he DFW Board gathered at the Dallas office for a board meeting on Feb. 16. During the meeting, longtime President Brent Anderson, center, announced that he would be stepping down, and First Vice President Nikki Dixon, right, was appointed and confirmed unanimously as the new DFW Local president. Local Board member Nicole Hodges was appointed first vice president and Anderson was appointed to fill her Local Board member position. Although we're not losing anyone on the board, our leadership structure has changed. Anderson will continue to serve the Local as a board member. Dallas- Fort Worth
