Since March 2020, the SAG-AFTRA Foundation has granted an unprecedented $7.8 million in emergency financial assistance to aid more than 8,000 SAG-AFTRA members in urgent need with basic living expenses such as rent, food, medical bills and utilities. Additionally, the Foundation awarded over $900,000 in higher educational scholarships to SAG-AFTRA members and their dependents. The Foundation's Emmy-nominated digital literacy program, Storyline Online, continues to grow and thrive, recently passing 900 million views worldwide. New readers over the last year include Sutton Foster, Rosario Dawson, Joel McHale, Isabella Gomez, Lea Michele, Seth Meyers, Terry Crews and Connie Britton.
