THE PARTY IS MOVING, and we couldn't
be more excited. This year's SAG Awards
®
will be streamed live on Netflix's YouTube
channel at youtube.com/netflix and,
starting with the 30th SAG Awards next
year, the show will stream live globally
on the Netflix platform itself. "We are
thrilled to embark on this exciting
new partnership with Netflix, and we
look forward to expanding the global
audience for our show," said SAG-AFTRA
National Executive Director Duncan
Crabtree-Ireland. "As the only televised
awards program exclusively honoring
the performances of actors whose work
is admired by millions of fans, the SAG
Awards are a unique and cherished part
of the entertainment universe."
The Netflix streaming service has
223 million paid memberships in more
than 190 countries, and this new
partnership is an opportunity to expand
the show's global audience.
