S:10.375" T:10.875" B:11.125" A Heart of Gold Mine CD Trayce Gigi Field relates, "I'm sure most costume design- ers feel the same way I do about my workspace. It is clean, organized, and a representation of who I am and what I am trying to convey." Field loves gold, gold anything really. There are always lots of pops of gold lavished around her worksite: gold vases, gold flowers, gold picture frames, etc. The picture frames house images that inspire her. A photo of Ed Asner and Field in a fitting affirms that she has the capacity to work with the greats and knows her worth. There is always a stick of sage to burn whenever Field needs a pick-me-up and surrounds herself with good energy. Representation, inclusion, and diversity are touchstones in her workspace as well. While designing A League of Their Own episodes 2-8, there was so much re- search to be done. Field learned a lot about American histo- ry in the 1940s. Did you know that women of color worked at factories and personified the Rosie the Riveter type? Be- ing a POC, Field wants to represent her culture and sense of belonging. Field bought a poster during that project that now hangs in her workspace of a POC Rosie the Riveter. It's a staunch reminder to be strong and stay true to yourself. Literally and figuratively, a playful piece in Field's workspace is a fiery candle that fits the bill and lights the way when projects get tense. Having a laugh is a major stress reliever and a lively moment at work can turn into a serious bonding experience. ACD Rochelle Carino gifted the candle to Field and hilarity always wins. Having a laugh is a major stre reliever and a lively moment at work can turn into a serious bonding experience. 87
