Happy Holidays from our family to yours Shedding Light Camille Benda is a Los Angeles based CD working in Europe. Benda has always had a home office, but when she traveled to London last year on a 6-month stint, her husband took over her office as his product design workspace. When she returned, Benda was constantly longing for a space accom- modating her 9-year-old, two cockatiels, four chickens, and a grey, part Maine-coon cat called Laszlo who must be involved in everything and thinks the chickens are his pets. Benda clarifies, "It's never quiet in the house. In fact, as I write this, a cockatiel is trying to eat my keyboard." Already planning to do some work on the backyard, Benda decided to splurge on a costume super-shed. The company 805 Sheds does custom installs, and they constructed a 10' x 12' Tuff-Shed shell in the garden with insulation plus a smooth plywood floor, walls, and ceiling. The shed also houses a 6' x 4' cut- ting table, desk, sewing table and made-to-fit shelving. Having a workspace with storage set up and ready to go is an absolute boon. It's perfect to jump right into those last-minute commercials or buckle down, focus, and pitch for a project.
