4 0 P E R S P E C T I V E | N O V E M B E R / D E C E M B E R 2 0 2 2 D E S T I N Y M a n e w a l Y I J I E ' E J ' L i Destiny Manewal is a recent graduate of CSU Fullerton, where she received her MFA in theater, focused in scenic design and Scenic Art. She first received her BA in studio art, from the University of Denver in 2019. She was recently an Associate Scenic Designer and Charge Scenic Artist for Lend Me a Tenor at ICT in Long Beach. Destiny has always wanted to work in television and film, and is incredibly excited for new opportunities in the industry. Outside of work, she takes on extra painting and drawing projects, and loves to 3D print things. Her current at-home project is a diorama of Knockturn Alley, a location seen in the Harry Potter films. Yijie "EJ" Li, from China, has BFA in industrial design from Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA in Production Design from AFI. Now based in Los Angeles, he has designed and art directed multiple award-winning short films. His work, La Casa De La Abuela, was screened at First, one of the most influential film festivals in China. The film was also nominated for Best Production Design at Indie Short Fest. He was also in the RISD Rover team designing and building a NASA Mars Rover for two years, and won the second prize in the 2019 NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge. A. AWAKE.
