The Creative Arts Emmys honor outstanding artistic and technical achievement, and are primarily focused on the many crafts involved in television production. The Production Design awards were split across the two-day event, with The Gilded Age, Squid Game, Only Murders in the Building, The Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show and RuPaul's Drag Race all being recognized for outstanding design work. The events did not have a single host, but some of the main presenters were W. Kamau Bell, Colman Domingo, Marcia Gay Harden, Randy Rainbow, Judd Apatow and RuPaul. Following two pandemic years where the awards were at first virtual and then hybrid and held in a tent, the format returned to an indoor, live event, with most of the nominees and winners attending and accepting in person. The ceremonies were edited and broadcast later on FXX and on Hulu the following day.
