She owes her interest in design to when her mom begged her to drop band class in middle school and take art instead because she was so bad at the clarinet. Annie went on to attend Chapman University, where she received a BFA in film production. Working as an assistant at her school's scene shop, she fell in love with Set Design and construction. Her favorite sets to design are spaces that are old, cluttered and lived in. She is eager to continue to grow within the Art Department and bring that excitement to whatever set she may find herself on. Christa earned her bachelor of science in architecture and master of architecture degrees at North Dakota State University, where she studied both technical and narrative-based design. For the past several years, she has worked as an architectural designer/ project coordinator in Northern California. In her personal work, Christa has participated in several architectural storytelling competitions to explore narrative design and representation. An avid artist and researcher, she develops every design to be rooted within rich stories, creating authentic and deeply intentional environments. A. RIVERS. KEYFRAME ILLUSTRATION. B. RIVERS.
