Getting to and from the center is a snap,
no matter how you travel. If you are driv-
ing you will find 2,039 outdoor parking
spaces and another 1,200 garage parking
spaces. For those arriving by helicopter, the
facility is adjacent to two Vertipost landing
pads. And if like most of us your flight will
be landing at the DFW International
Airport, DART light rail service will speed
you to the center for only $2,50.
After much anticipation, the develop-
ment of Dallas' updated convention center
is a go. This is exciting news for the Dallas
community, future convention goers, and
today's meeting planners looking for a
game-changer location. When the $2 bil-
lion project is completed in 2029, the Kay
Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center will
boast 2.5 million sq. ft. of space and a walk-
able entertainment district just feet away.
