LMGI COMPASS | Summer 2022 • 17 SEE Season 2 A deadly virus has left the humans blind for generations but doesn't prevent the palace intrigue and brutal warring that played out against the vast wilderness of Canada's BC last season. Moving to Toronto in a still breathtaking second run has created new world building: the ruins of an abandoned power plant and steel mill in what was once Pittsburgh play for the world of one tribe; the exterior bones of an old psychiatric hospital is home to another. From the woods, limestone cliffs and caves beyond the city, to the final battle shot in an old log flume, the beautifully bleak landscape is home to a future society where the birth of sighted infants challenges everything. Stranger Things The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel See STRANGER THINGS Season 4 Season 4 travels not only deeper into the "Upside Down" but well beyond the Atlanta locations used to create the town of Hawkins, Indiana. A group of young friends must unravel a series of horrifying mysteries behind the Iron Curtain, with Lithuania standing in for Cold War Russia. The Siberian wilderness, an abandoned prison and an Orthodox Church converted to a Soviet warehouse contrast sharply with scenes filmed in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where a nostalgic '80s Southern California vibe is a counterpoint to the story's frightening events. THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL Season 4 New York City of the 1960s comes alive as the housewife-turned-comedian hits her stride and becomes an unstoppable force of the city's nightlife. New York locations are everything in Season 4—from a 'Carnival of Comedy" set at Coney Island to a foot chase on a period-perfect city street. Central Park, Washington Square, Chinatown and the iconic Carnegie Hall surrounded by snow play themselves—transporting us to a colorful and vibrant version of the city from another era.
