For the 1944 scenes, the crew dressed the shops, changed out all the signage, and added Victorian benches to the platform. For some fl air, I added Victorian-styled etched mark vinyl to all the glass window panels of the shops and station doors. We built a large, beaux-arts newsstand, which served both to cement the time period and block modern elements. A classic freestanding station clock was the perfect fi nal touch. My favorite location in Budapest was an abandoned power plant used for ristof's wild party. The enticing glass ceiling and spiral staircase not only supported recurring thematic motifs but was incredibly dynamic and breathtaking. The design intention here was a Budapest counterpart to Maxine's N loft. An artist's work area, eclectic furniture, large ersian rugs and pulsating light sculptures were all chosen to that end. The making of season two was as wild a ride for the crew, as Nadia and Allen experience in the story. Finding a uniue and original voice, for the design of a second season was just one of the many challenges the Art Department and I faced. I am forever grateful for their unending support, sheer will, resolve, and tireless devotion to the project. Thanks to the contributions of my brilliant supervising Art Director hris Minard, set decorator Lindsay Stephen, Art Director Michael Simmons, and raphic Artist Matthew Vidalis, we persevered. Also, a big thank you to the Budapest crew who did outstanding work; Tom ataki Art Director, ata iss set decorator, Virag Tyekvicska Assistant Art Director, and szter eseru raphic Designer. I'm proud of the work and believe we accomplished a distinguished look. ADG D E F
