SAG-AFTRA turns I t has been a decade since Screen Actors Guild President Ken Howard and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists National President Roberta Reardon stepped to the podium in the James Cagney Boardroom to announce the merging of the two unions and the formation of SAG-AFTRA. As the jubilation of that moment ebbed, the hard work began. Member leaders worked to set a new direction for the organization, staff worked to streamline operations and, most importantly, members engaged at every level. A lot has happened since then. SAG-AFTRA has negotiated gains in its union contracts, deployed technology to better serve members, expanded organizing and so much more. Here's a look back at a decade of union solidarity.
