We restored the original businesses, Bright Spot Diner, he Magic Mu er and Hub Furniture, allowing a fully shootable fourway street closure and 0s0s cars and city busses with advertisements paraded on the streets. his set was signifi cant because with peeling back the modern elements and a serious signage package, we were able to get a largescale production. The Teenage Fair he eenage Fair scenes called for a full recreation of the original event which took place from 22 at the Hollywood Palladium. Paul and I scouted and planned the Steadicam shot, navigating Gary through the fair vendors as he makes his way to set up his booth. My goal was to create an authentic, multilayered and functioning event using vendors and brands found at the fair from that time. Many weeks were spent researching and clearing real vendors from the fairs, then the set dressing team sourced and dressed the fi fty booths with custom signs, lights and period teen air. A real aco Mini Bike was sourced by leadman Anthony Carlino. Draper Ruben Abarca sourced thousands of feet of drapery for the second oor meanine, stage and back walls of the stripped Hollywood Palladium. Graphic Artist erry Hyatt generated a massive graphics package, including signage for each booth, a custom poster for the teen fair, along with operational event graphics that brought everything to life.
