We gauged our success by the children's reaction when they were first introduced to the murals in there play area. he youngest toddlers walked right up and touched the animals scaled to their own sie and smiled and got excited. I knew we were good. We were oered a 20foot by 0foot mural on Stage to honor the longtime relationship with Family Guy and Seth MacFarlane. Because of the simple shapes, Jim and I were able to proect the mural directly on the wall using two condor lifts, synchronied at night to get the drawing in place. We used a large quantity of Mann Bros. heme Paint. his product was a dense and light fast acrylic. he mural was finished, then sealed. ery laborintensive. At the end of the mural proect we were invited to the opening and dedication ceremony for Seth MacFarlane and his creation of Family Guy. he last mural I worked on was a redo of The Ox- Bow Incident, 0feet by feet. When we started, I told them that it was time for me to retire and that Mr. atranis will be taking over. hey were sad and thanked me for all the years of dedication in bringing art to their stages. I assured them that they were in good hands with Jim and they had an artist that will help them for several years to come. We started The Ox-Bow Incident mural together using the ageold technique of paper transfer for the drawing, then Jim finished the mural and did a great ob. hey were happy and I felt relieved knowing that he would carry on. I was honored to have a 0 year artistic relationship with Fox Studios and made some very good friends. he studio executives always treated us with respect and were grateful for our work. I appreciated that Fox Studios still believes in handpainted artwork. I was fortunate as an artist to be able to leave my mark. But it is time to pass the torch, and move on to the next adventure.
