S E P T E M B E R / O C T O B E R 2 0 2 1 | P E R S P E C T I V E 6 3 Magic City was my childhood fantasy that you, with your relentless talent and huge heart, made real. Made eeneene.nnne sets was like living in a waking dream. Miraculous. You gave our cast and crew the most glamorous and functional time machine to play in. None of us had ever seen anything like the world you created. I remember neennn Miami and he stopped in our "lobby," jaw-dropped, took it all in and said, "I have never, never, seen anything like this." Your appetite for more, bigger, richer design was, of course, insatiable and having to say no to you, due to budget or time constraints required all my courage! But, my friend, we achieved most of your dreams. When I saw you on our last visit a week ago, you were still talking about those few unbuilt, unrealized sets and how amazing our third season would have been. I miss you Carlito. I try to comfort myself by saying how lucky I was to have even known you, been blessed by your beautiful spirit and talent, to know your loyalty and love, to have heard your passion and precision as you walked me through your blueprints, guided me through our future, what was to come. Our conversation has been stopped in mid-sentence. I called you Carlito and you called me Miguelito and, of the beautiful things we created together, our friendship is the one I ache for and treasure the most. 'Til we meet again on your golden-tiled stairway to nowhere... Love always, Miguelito Mitch Glazer, September 3, 2021, Los Feliz, CA A-C. PRODUCTION STILL AND SET PHOTOS OF THE MIRAMAR HOTEL.
