m ot ion p ictu re s o u n d e d i to r s I 61 PETER ALBRECHTSEN: I'm based in Copenhagen, Denmark. I graduated from the Danish film school 20 years ago, now and then for the last several years, I've been working both on fiction film and documentaries, both on Danish, Scandinavian, and international films. I really love working on international projects this way, nowadays with the internet and everything, you can do collaborations across countries. For me, it's so inspiring meeting filmmakers from other parts of the world. Working with Robert, Rodrigo, and Laura almost feels like family, the way that you can inspire each other, and go new places together, and try things out, and you're not afraid of experimenting or doing crazy things. And then at the same time, it feels like we're doing movies together. That means a lot emotionally for all of us. We really put our heart and soul into these movies, and it really means a lot to us and so it's personal, and creative, and inspiring. DAVID BARBER: I came around to audio post through a different route. At UCSB, I played in bands with a singer/songwriter named Jeremy Kay who went on to get signed. We put out a few albums and toured the country but never quite cracked that ceiling where music would become a living. During our time in Los Angeles, I worked in the operations L-R: Sound designer and re-recording mixer Peter Albrechtsen MPSE, director Robert Machoian, actor Clayne Crawford (David), re-recording mixer David Barber MPSE
