For two years, WIF's #VoteForWomen campaign has been amplifying the profiles of women whose work behind the camera is deserving of consideration for the industry's ma- jor awards. The summit features some of those creatives in conversation with each other on a range of topics spanning Changing the Industry A WOMEN IN FILM PANEL SHINES A LIGHT ON FEMALE EDITORS MAKING A DIFFERENCE the art, craft, and business of television, and also provides an opportunity to learn about the industry they are trans- forming. Two panels in particular were designed to highlight the achievements of Black-led series, such as "P-Valley" (Starz) and the Emmy-nominated lim- ited series "The Underground Railroad" (Amazon Prime). The free online event was developed to gather the creative forces behind more than 20 of the television projects— many of which were recognized with Emmy nominations announced on July 13. A fascinating discussion presented in partnership with the Editors Guild Women's Steering Committee (WSC) called "A Thousand Cuts: Female Editors on Stitching Stories and Creating Magic" was the first one to open WIF's first-ever #VoteForWomen TV Summit on YouTube on June 23. The panelists included: Emmy-nom- inated Amy Duddleston, ACE, editor of "Mare of Easttown," Emmy-nominated Nona Khodai, editor of "Wandavision" (featured in this month's CineMontage cover story), Joi McMillon, ACE, editor of A screen grab of the women in film event in June.
