PEOPLE www.postmagazine.com 35 POST MAY/JUNE 2021 IAN BRADLEY Ian Bradley has joined Carbon's (https://carbonvfx. com) growing team of designers and directors. The studio has locations in Los Angeles, New York and Chicago. With deep roots in graphic design, Bradley has art directed for key studios across the US, includ- ing Nathan Love, Psyop and The Mill. He joins Carbon from Framestore, where he was creative director and head of design. In his new role, Bradley will focus on designing, developing and directing content for brands and agencies. SHANE REID Bi-coastal editorial house Exile has promoted editor Shane Reid to partner, based out of their Los Angeles office. The move reflects the studio's effort to pro- mote growth from within. Hailing from the Bay Area, Reid started his career at Lost Planet before moving to Whitehouse Post. He came to work at Exile in 2015, shortly after the shop's inception, and has gone on to collaborate with a number of renowned directors. Reid's editing career was propelled by work such as his Duracell spot, Trust Your Power, about the deaf NFL player Derrick Coleman, along with a number of Apple ads. Recently, he worked on three 2021 Super Bowl spots: Doritos' Flat Matthew, Jimmy John's Meet the King and Rockstar's Spotlight. KYA LOU Colorist Kya Lou has joined the roster of Primary in Los Angeles for global representation. She is known for a grading style that is artistic, scholarly and emotionally evocative. Lou, who has also worked as an editor and photographer, previously graded out of her own studio, Coloured Only. Her credits include work with brands that include Adidas, Calvin Klein and Wales Bonner. She also has an ongoing collaborative relationship with filmmaker Kahlil Joseph, serving as an editor of BLKNWS, a realtime, "conceptual journalism" broadcast that seeks to "highlight the vastness of the Black experience". RICHARD MCKERNAN Systems provider and integrator Alt Systems has appointed Richard McKernan senior account ex- ecutive, based in Los Angeles. He brings decades of combined talent and expertise as a professional recording and mixing engineer on projects for artists such as U2, Prince and Stevie Ray Vaughan. He also held a technical sales and service leadership role at Avid and Euphonix. Alt Systems designs, deploys and supports standalone and integrated audio solutions from technology companies that include Dolby and Avid Technology. McKernan is a founding member of the Entertainment Industry Professional Mentoring Association (EIPMA), and was an audio sales manager for Avid Technology for more than 10 years, and Euphonix's western sales director for over 14 years. CHARLIE VON ROTBERG Stitch Editing in London has announced the promo- tion of Charlie Von Rotberg to its commercial editing roster. Von Rotberg joined the roster at Homespun, Stitch's music video and short film division, at the beginning of 2020, and has since grown his music video and commercial showreel, which includes work for Adidas, Rexona and Voxi. Before crossing over into the world of editing, Von Rotberg was busy re- cording and touring as a drummer, eventually finding himself cutting his band's music videos. The transition from drummer to editor was a natural one and Von Rotberg built a reputation for his talent cutting music videos, with promos for FKA Twigs, Skepta, Michael Kiwanuka, Lewis Capaldi and Joji. CONOR O'NEILL Nomad Editing Company, which has locations in New York City, London, Tokyo and Los Angeles, has further strengthened its leadership team with the recent addition of Conor O'Neill, who joins the studio as editor and partner. An accomplished editor with several Emmy nominations, O'Neill's work encompasses a wide array of projects, ranging from commercials to feature films, long-form documentaries and beyond. ONeill has cut several Academy Award-nominated films, including Foxcatcher and Moneyball. His documentary work includes editing Air Guitar Nation, Eric Bana's directorial debut Love the Beast, and the HBO Rolling Stones documentary Crossfire Hurricane. VÉRONIQUE HÉBERT Montreal's Rodeo FX has hired Véronique Hébert as vice president of human resources. She previously led the Montreal HR operation at competitor Framestore. Hébert comes with a high-retention track record at various stages of a company's growth, and will ensure the ambitions for HR fit with the overall ambition for the company. With Rodeo's decision makers in Montreal, Hébert will have the capacity to influence and impact the course of the company's short- and long- term future. Attracting key talent will be part of her responsibilities. JOE KELL Creative editorial and post production boutique Hiatus in Detroit recently welcomed editor Joe Kell to its team.
