15 SAG-AFTRA SPECIAL ISSUE 2021 // SAGAFTRA.ORG Starting in May and continuing through early December, these two committees reviewed film and television projects submitted for consideration and voted for their favorites. The result of their monthslong work is the list of nominees on this year's ballot. Actor® nominations for the 27th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® were announced on Feb. 4 in an exclusive Instagram Live event by Lily Collins and Daveed Diggs. Also announced were the nominees for outstanding action performances by TV and film stunt ensembles by SAG Awards Committee members Jason George and Elizabeth McLaughlin. FINAL VOTING Voting for the 27th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® recipients opened on Feb. 16 to all active and eligible SAG-AFTRA members who paid their November 2020 dues by Thursday, Jan. 14. You must be an eligible voter to receive the online voting instructions postcard and For Your Consideration offers from the studios and networks. For the latest information on voting, visit sagawards.org/voting. Also, make sure your SAG Awards® emails do not go to spam. Add sagaftracommunications@sagaftra.org and the internet domains sagaftra.org, saglist.org and sagawards.org to your safe or approved senders list. KEY VOTING DATES TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 16 Final voting for the awards begins via online and paper ballot. FRIDAY, MARCH 12 This is the last day to request paper final ballots in lieu of online voting. If you want a paper final ballot, call (800) 961-8287. Have your SAG-AFTRA member ID ready when calling. TUESDAY, MARCH 30 AT NOON This is the voting deadline. Your votes for the year's outstanding performances must be received by the elections firm by noon PT no matter whether you vote online or by paper ballot. SUNDAY, APRIL 4 Let the show begin!
