PRODUCTS www.postmagazine.com 29 POST JULY/AUG 2020 PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT SOLUTION KLIO STUDIO LAUNCHES HOLLYWOOD — Klio Studio is a new, affordable, cloud-based production management solution that is purpose built for film, television and commercial productions. The solution was designed by Adrienne Lunson, a former US Navy officer, talk-show host and film producer, who recently entered the tech industry. Klio Studio has been in development since 2017, but when the Coronavirus appeared, Lunson and team further ramped up their efforts to launch the solution in order to help producers manage their newly-distributed teams online. The Klio Studio system keeps producers and their collaborators on track throughout the production process starting with development, through fundraising, pre-pro- duction, production, post production and release. Klio Studio's toolset unifies all aspects of produc- tion, including tasks, schedules, chat and file sharing. Because Klio Studio is cloud- based, staff can work remotely on multiple productions at once. The solu- tion is well suited for commercials, online content or movies. Pricing starts at $11.99/month and a free trial is available at KlioStudio.com. LUMA TOUCH ADDS PRO FEATURES TO IOS EDITING APP SEATTLE — Luma Touch (www.luma-touch.com) has added new profession- al features to its iOS editing app, LumaFusion. With the new V.2.3 release, LumaFusion now includes multiselect directly in the timeline, cut/copy/paste clip in and between timelines, pasting attributes to multiple clips at once, and deep integration with the collaborative review and approval platform, Frame.io. With multiselect, LumaFusion editors can use various methods to select an entire range of clips in the timeline, allowing the selected clips to be dragged to a new location, copied, deleted, or have attributes applied. With the new cut/copy/paste clips feature, multiple selected clips can be quickly pasted to a new location or another project. Additionally, LumaFusion editors with a Frame.io account can now collaborate with other filmmakers without leav- ing LumaFusion. This new integration allows LumaFusion editors to see Frame.io source media with comments and annotations, then reply directly from the LumaFusion preview. Only media that is used on the LumaFusion timeline will be transferred to the device. While editing, new com- ments can be added to the timeline and uploaded to Frame.io where collabora- tors can respond in realtime back to the LumaFusion timeline. LumaFusion V.2.3 is avail- able immediately for down- load in the Apple App Store and is priced at $29.99. DEJAEDIT 3.1 SUPPORTS PRIVATE CLOUD ENVIRONMENTS GOTHENBURG, SWEDEN — DejaSoft (www.dejasoft.com), the maker of collab- orative editing solutions for Avid Media Composer, Avid NEXIS and EditShare, has released DejaEdit 3.1, which supports private cloud environments using the open source MinIO object storage solution. DejaEdit allows multiple, remote Avid editors to work together by mirroring their locally-stored media and edit assets to the local storage of other connected systems. This is performed using secure, background transfers across the internet. It can also be used to ex- change media with on-location DITs and VFX or audio houses. DejaEdit uses a centralized server to ensure that all connected platforms have access to the permitted, up-to-date media. This central server is based on Amazon Web Services S3 storage and can be either provided by DejaSoft or it can use the client's own AWS account. New for Version 3.1, the S3 media server can be created by the client "in-house", using MinIO S3 object storage. MinIO (https://min.io) is an open source Object Server, which can be run in-house on a Linux, Mac and Windows server, and it is also available for Docker. MinIO provides data storage via an S3-compliant API. This allows applications, such as DejaEdit, to store objects in private centralized storage, rather than to a cloud-hosted Amazon S3 storage device. The ability to operate in a private cloud environment further adds to the security management features that were released for DejaEdit Version 3, where permission to access-specific assets by particular users can be controlled via a management console. The new software release DejaEdit 3.1 is compatible with workflows for all Avid Media Composer and NEXIS systems, and is now available to purchase.
