THEARTISAN FALL 2019 • 29 There was a pleasant anticipation, a promise of excitement in the air. Celebrities came out to support their Emmy-nominated make-up artists and hair styling teams, including Mary Chieffo (Star Trek Discovery), Emma Slater and Sasha Farber (Dancing with the Stars). The MUAHS Guild Emmy celebration was hosted by Emmy-winning make-up artist David Williams and hair stylist Conrad Hilton, who moderated the event and interviewed all of our Emmy nominees on the red carpet to get the inside scoops. The hosts did a nmarvelous job! The red carpet was open from 3 to 4 p.m. and then the livestream followed at 4 p.m. Guests were in their best cocktail attire and had fun chatting with each other, while they walked the red carpet and posed for photos together. There was a fantastic lineup of shows nominated, including American Horror Story, Dancing with the Stars, Deadwood, Fosse/ Verdon, GLOW, Pose, Rent Live, Sharp Objects, So You Think You Can Dance, Star Trek: Discovery, The Voice, World of Dance, Chernobyl, Game of Thrones, RuPaul's Drag Race, Saturday Night Live, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and True Detective. Dancing with the Stars hair team Rhonda O'Neal, Mary Guerrero, Kimi Messina, Gail Ryan and Cheryl Eckert Pose hair team. Jake Garber, Kim Ayers, Eryn Mekash, Michael Mekash, Silvina Knight, Vance Hartwell of American Horror Story prosthetic make-up team Guild President Julie Socash with VP Kim M.
