SPECIAL REPORT: CAMERAS THE LATEST IN ACQUISITION TECHNOLOGY BY MARC LOFTUS & LINDA ROMANELLO T PANAVISION IMAGING ECOSYSTEM Panavision (www.panavision.com) recently demonstrated a complete imaging ecosystem for feature film, television and commercial production at the 2019 NAB Show in Las Vegas, highlighting its Millennium DXL2 and DXL-M camera systems. The company's flagship DXL2 has 6G 4K SDI outputs, which allows for direct connection to the Bolt 4K with a single SDI cable. The latest enhancements to the DXL2 include an integrated C-Motion F.I.Z. module, allowing the use of Arri WCU4 wireless lens control handsets with full lens mapping support; a proxy workflow that allows easy creation of tradi- tional dailies while archiving 8K files for DI and VFX; a Comtek Module with added audio capabilities; and DXL Control for iPhone and Android.
