(www.atto.com) has announced that its ThunderLink 40GbE and 10GbE Thunderbolt 3 adapters and 40GbE FastFrame network interface cards (NICs) have been certified for use with the latest Avid NEXIS collaborative shared-storage solutions. Atto ThunderLink adapters and FastFrame NICs provide a connectivity option for users seeking data storage for collaborative video, including high-performance 4K and 8K work- flows. Atto 40GbE and 10GbE Thunderbolt 3 adapters combine proprietary Atto features that provide flexible and scalable connectivity for the latest Thunderbolt enabled hosts, includ- ing the Apple iMac and iMac Pro. Atto 40GbE NICs extend connectivity options allowing for Windows and Linux users to achieve throughput well suited for realtime editorial collaboration. Avid high-performance shared storage systems give creative teams realtime editori- al collaboration with performance that accelerates media workflows. The advanced Avid NEXIS | FS file management system enhances collaboration and maximizes production efficiency by enabling editors to work with a host of tools from Avid, Adobe, Apple and Grass Valley. Production efficiency has also been accelerated with the recent announcement of Avid NEXIS support for 40GbE client connectivity. MatrixStore, the media focused private and hybrid cloud platform from Object Matrix, has been integrated with Strawberry, the production asset management tool from FlavourSys. Strawberry is a project-based asset management solution, designed to keep productions organized and collaboration flexible. MatrixStore is a media focused private cloud object storage solu- tion. It enables media companies to keep content secure and pro- tected while ensuring easy access and discoverability at all times. Strawberry is based on the Linux operating system, which means that MatrixStore can be easily mounted directly via the MatrixStore File System (MXFS) on Linux. It can equally integrate with MatrixStore via the Server Message Block (SMB) and Network File System (NFS) supplied by Object Matrix. Interfaces are interchangeable. The combination of MaxtriStore and Strawberry enables media companies to organize their media libraries, while still being able to easily migrate assets to and from MatrixStore object storage.
