Broker's London Dry Gin With the expansion of the gin category, many of the new London dry–style gins aren't actually being produced in England. But authentically English Broker's Gin proudly displays its British heritage, going so far as to top the bottle with a miniature black bowler hat, honoring the City of London's dapper stockbrokers. Created in the late 1990s by brothers Martin and Andy Dawson, Broker's is produced in the heart of England at a 200-year-old gin distillery using a traditional copper pot still. The grain spirit is produced from English wheat and ten natural botanicals. While Broker's is a classical London dry gin with juniper spice as the lead note, it also maintains a rich creamy texture from the wheat grain. A nice spice towards the end of the palate also makes it an ideal mixing gin with a structure perfect for a Dry Martini or the Aviation cocktail. Hood River Distillers No. 3 London Dry Gin Berry Bros. & Rudd is one of the oldest wine and spirit merchants in London, located at No. 3 St. James's Street since 1698. The company brought this extensive experience to bear on its gin, named after their iconic address and featuring a key similar to the one that opens the door to The Parlour, the inner sanctum of the shop, a room steeped in history and tradition and a place where Berry and Rudd family members have selected and even created some of their inest wines and spirits. Although the shop is located in London, for No. 3 Gin Berry Bros. & Rudd turned to one of Holland's oldest distilleries, owned by a family who also had over 300 years of experience. "No. 3 London Dry Gin was created to be the last word in gin for a classic Dry Martini," says Dr. David Clutton, creator of No. 3. "It is distilled with a simple recipe of just six natural botanicals—three fruits (juniper, grapefruit, and orange) and three spices (angelica root, coriander, and cardamom). With juniper at its heart, No. 3 unashamedly celebrates the integrity and character of traditional London dry gin." Made in the traditional London dry style, the predominant lavor and aroma of Junipero comes from juniper, from which a wide range of lavors and aromas can be extracted during the maceration and distilling process. Junipero focuses on the spicier and bolder elements in the juniper berry and supports that spice with some nice citrus, including bitter orange. "Junipero's higher proof helps elevate the lavors in a cocktail," comments highly acclaimed San Francisco bartender Brooke Arthur. Junipero strives to be a go-to gin for true gin drinkers. Fittingly, Junipero is named for Junípero Serra, the 18thcentury Franciscan monk who founded the mission in San Francisco. Anchor Distilling Company
