(www. tagvs.com) will showcase its software-only MCM-9000U IP-Multiviewer and mon- itoring system. What the company describes as the first of its kind in the industry, the MCM-9000U supports SMPTE's recently published ST 2110 suite of standards for managed IP networks that address HD and UHD uncompressed video and audio streams at the inputs and outputs. The upgraded solution combines sophisti- cated technology with simple operation for a complete Multiviewer and monitoring solution that supports multiple formats, including compressed, uncompressed and OTT — all on the same platform. The company will also highlight its TAG Decryptor for real time decryption, which monitors and views OTT content after the packager within the secure zone; the MBC-7000 IP Multiviewer, which enables creation of a broadcast quality mosaic channel from a mixture of sources in a va- riety of layouts; and MCR-6000 real-time live audio transcod- ing solution. NUGEN DEBUTS PRODUCT BUNDLES & LOUDNESS TOOLKIT UPDATE LEEDS, UK – NUGEN Audio's (www.nugenaudio.com) newly released post production bundles, as well as updates to its Loudness Toolkit bundle of products, will be on display for the first time at IBC 2018. The Loudness Toolkit, which includes the VisLM loudness meter, ISL limiter and LM-Correct quick fix tool, will natively support track counts of up to 7.1.2, suitable for monitoring and limiting Dolby Atmos bed tracks in real time. Further updates to the Loudness Toolkit will include an additional alert and flexible gating options for VisLM to fully support upcoming guidance and internal recommendations from major content producers. LM-Correct will be updated to handle 7.1 and 7.1.2 de-interleaved files offline (in addition to the existing stereo and 5.1 support) and natively handle 7.1 and 7.1.2 tracks in the Avid and Adobe timelines, when applicable. Additional product updates and details will be announced closer to the show. Bundles for post production include: Loudness Toolkit, which now includes the DynApt extension for LM-Correct. DynApt is a standard for all new customers and upgrade options are available for existing users in their online account areas on the NUGEN Audio Website; Surround Suite, a new toolset including Halo Upmix, Halo Downmix, ISL surround limiter and SEQ-S surround match & morph corrective spline EQ; NUGEN Post, a collection of 11 plug-ins for high-quality broadcast, film and game audio production. ROHDE & SCHWARZ TO SHOWCASE SCALABLE STORAGE & TRANSMITTERS MUNICH, GERMANY — Rohde & Schwarz (www.rohde-schwarz.com) will make a number of new product introductions for the broadcast, post production storage industry and more. Launching at this year's IBC is an extension to the company's cost-effective, high-performance, shared storage solutions for collab- orative media production networks. The new storage product, which his scalable, flexible and reliable, targets broadcast, post and file-based archive applications. The company is also debuting the new R&S TMU9evo, an air-cooled transmitter for UHF applications. With the new transmitter Rohde & Schwarz is introducing R&S Multiband Doherty for medium-power transmission applications providing transmitter efficiency combined with significantly lower energy costs. In addition to these new products, Rohde & Schwarz will showcase extensions and refinements to its established solutions — R&S Clipster, a workstation for mastering and distributing feature films and episodic TV, R&S Venice media servers, Relaycaster IP contribution solution for today's increasingly IP-centric file-based broadcast environment and the new RelayCaster Encoder, which is supporting HEVC encoding of live content and up to four inputs in a single 1U server. OBJECT MATRIX LAUNCHES UPDATES TO MATRIXSTORE VISION CARDIFF, WALES — Object Matrix, which is celebrating its 15 th year anniversary at IBC, will announce updates to its media focused hybrid cloud offerings. The company will share updates to the popular Vision interface, a Web-based media management application that gives users instant and easy access to files contained within the MatrixStore object stor- age platform. The latest version includes a number of enhancements, including Process in Place IMF integration which enables users to ingest files in IMF (Interoperable Master Format) and automatically extract the associated IMF metadata. Vision has also now been fully integrated with move2, an HSM application from Object Matrix. move2 provides policy driven data management from MatrixStore object storage to deep archive storage or public cloud storage platforms. Full integration with Vision means users have the option to control that easily, with a simple right click from within the tool.
