Summer 2018 The Costume Designer 49 BFN - EVENTS. BFN - PRESS RVN TV interviewed CD Dawn Ritz, along with actor Mark Boone Junior and writer/director Ash Avildsen. They discussed life and most importantly, American Satan's upcoming Showtime pre- miere. Ritz says, "It was a lot of fun wearing a vintage Thierry Mugler dress with a red beret, pink sunglasses (to hide my tired eyes as I was on set till 4:30 a.m. that morning), no shoes, doing what we Costume Designers do best—talking about filmmaking. I am happy as a Costume Designer, I respect actors, and I made sure to show some love and shout out to the Costume Designers Guild, Local 892." A new podcast, Voice of Costume (VOC) has interviewed CDs Mark Bridges and President Salvador Perez about their careers and creative process and will soon be speaking to CD Dr. Deborah Nadoolman Landis and ILL Gina Flanagan. VOC states, "Costume Designers are first and foremost storytellers who are partners in the creative process. They thrive on being intrinsically collaborative and helping the characters reveal the story to the audience in subtle and profound ways." Ltd. with The British Are Coming, Los Angeles. The Sunset Tower Hotel set the scene for what was to be an incredible evening with so many old friends toasting the es- teemed footwear brand. CD Jeffrey Kurland was also in attendance. Auctions and ocean liner Cunard will preview and offer presale for the outfits by displaying them aboard a transatlantic cruise on the Queen Mary 2, leaving from London on August 19 and arriving in New York on August 26.
