Secretary-Treasurer Jane Austin delivers her report. 1 3 4 Secretary-Treasurer Jane Austin concurred about the top three officers, saying "It is my belief that together we are a trifecta of union, strength and future." Carteris called attention to the organizing campaign that successfully unionized Telemundo performers. The effort was captured in a video that played for the delegates, and Telemundo star Pablo Azar made an appearance in the convention hall to rounds of applause for his work in helping organize the Spanish-language network. This year's keynote conversation featured director and producer Nancy Meyers (Private Benjamin, What Women Want) and Wall Street Journal reporter Ben Fritz. Meyers reflected on opportunities for women in the entertainment industry.
