He was a terrifi c artist whose skills were exemplary, there was nothing he could not do. Along with those skills, he possessed such a wonder- ful, warm and engaging sense of humor and ran a department with dignity and quiet fortitude, low-key yet strong and assured. Steve began his make-up career at CBS in 1982 on The Young and the Restless, and then transitioned into fi lm and episodic television in the early 1990s, attaining journeyman status in 1992. The quality of this make-up artistry and wonderful sense of fun kept him in demand his entire career. Artmont was both a Department Head Make-up and personal artist for some of the most notable actors—he worked with Vince Vaughn, Edward Burns, Rachel Weisz, Heather Graham, Keanu Reeves and Steve Martin. Steve's fi lmog- raphy includes Grumpier Old Men (along with his brother-in-law Rick Sharp) Her, Contact, Richie Rich, That Thing You Do! Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, The Replacements, Bowfi nger, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby and many others. He also worked extensively in television on The George Carlin Show, Beverly Hills 90210, Carnivale, The Spoils Before Dying and Outcast. While working on Grumpier Old Men, the prop department enlisted Steve to pose for a set dressing wedding photo with Sophia Loren, one of his favorite treasures. At the time he became ill, he was the department head on the currently running show Big Little Lies for HBO. Steve was nominated twice for Emmys for the work on Carnivale. He won a Daytime Emmy for The Young and In Memoriam Engaged! We are proud to announce the engagement of Local 706 member Laci Hill & Patrick Simon! The cou- ple met while working on the show Home & Family (Hallmark Channel) five years ago. Starting out as co- workers, they became fast friends, and have now been a couple for three years. Patrick popped the ques- tion on the terrace at the Griffith Observatory on the morning of April 29, 2017, and Laci happily said, "Yes!" Engaged! Kim Addrisi (2017) I am saddened to announce the pass- ing of journeyman make-up artist Kim Addrisi (Kramer), who died May 1 from stomach cancer. This is not only a loss to our Local and her family and friends, but to my wife and me, for she had been a part of our family since we fi rst met her more than 42 years ago, when she was only 17 years old. A couple years later, she married one of my closest friends, Don Addrisi, and they soon became god- parents to our son Casey. Their daughter Amity, who was born around the same time as Casey, is like our daughter and a sister to both our kids. Amity to this day considers our house as "home." Kim became a member of Local 706 as an associate in 1984, was elevated to the Roster as a trainee in 1991, and passed her journeyman test the same year. Her career started in network TV at NBC, working on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, Days of Our Lives and Santa Barbara. From there, she progressed into quite a large array of TV series, which included American Gladiators, Moesha, Delta, The Hughleys, Without a Trace and Nashville. In her busy work schedule, she also found time to go to culinary school and became quite a gifted designer of wedding and spe- cialty party cakes. She was an artisan of many talents. Our condolences to her family and friends. She will be missed by so many. She is survived by her husband Eric, mother Joana, brother Mark, sister Tamara and three daughters, Amity, Leianesse and Sedona, along with other relatives and friends in other states. Pickens in a small intimate cer- emony at First AME Church of Los Angeles. Married!
