139 LESO FUNDRAISING EVENT - 2016 RIDE TO THE TIDE In 2016, the 10th annual Ride to the Tide was held on April 17 at the Rommel-Harley Davidson in Smyrna as the starting location. This police-escorted ride from Smyrna to Rehoboth Beach expanded its reach with 1000 bikers and 422 passengers - helping to raise a record $53,500 for Special Olympics Delaware. The Delaware Blue Knights - Chapter 1 organizes this annual Law Enforcement fundraising event, which is sponsored by Delmarva Power and supported by Jake's Seafood House, WBOC-16, and Fox 21 Delmarva.
