"Lily Tomlin is an extraordinary actress, as equally adept at narrative drama as in comedy roles," SAG-AFTRA President Gabrielle Carteris said in making the Life Achievement Award announcement. "But it is through her many original L ily Tomlin has a simple formula for success. She puts everything into her characters and gives back to others as much as she gets. It seems to be working in a karmic sense.
